You need to rotate the outer ring and the smaller individual circles so that there are three pairs of matching symbols on the inner part of the disc. Look up to the top of the cabinet and insert the hexahedron into the square hole, then pull open the panel and a puzzle will be revealed below. Back out again and focus just beneath the panel you pulled open, pressing the button in the middle of the rose.

There are 4 discs that you can turn below, but you don't know the correct settings yet. Go over to the palace and look at the right side. Slide the stairs at the bottom to the left, and the top of the model will rise further. Look at the front of the palace near the top, and zoom in on the top middle ornament. Rotate this around, then pull the catch downwards to open a compartment. Rotate around to the right staircase again and attach your new model, then slide it down.
